1788 Cent Massachusetts PCGS MS62BN Rider 10-L (Rarity-2)
Reference #: C18 "Although this variety is among those MA Cents possible to obtain in mint state, it is far less common to find a MA Cent in mint state than it is a Half Cent, this despite the fact that Cents in general are the far more common denomination. Chocolate brown, slightly lighter in tone than most MA Coppers which tend to come a uniformly darker olive tinged brown. Glossy as to be expected, with very fine microscopic porosity present on both sides. Free of any and all damage, some minor striations can be found in the center left fields on each side."

1788 New Jersey Running Fox PCGS XF45 Maris 75-bb (Rarity-4)
Reference #: C31 "The important Running Fox Type, and a slightly scarcer variety of this type. The all important creature, which some think more resembles a running horse, is here clearly visible on the reverse by the rim at 7:30. Warm light chocolate brown and reflective, both sides have an even dusting of very fine granularity. One shallow natural flaw at the lower center of the reverse shield. All Running Fox types are quite difficult to locate at or above this grade level, and this coin would be hard to improve on. "

1788 New Jersey Head Left PCGS VF20 Maris 50-f
Reference #: C33 "Easily the most dramatic Type variation in the New Jersey copper series, with the Horse's head facing the opposite (Left) direction. Frequently found on poorly prepared planchets, which is true of this example. Both sides show significant roller striae which roughens the appearance of this coin. Detail, however, remains strong, with all legends bold and full, with the reverse showing unusual strength for the grade. Die failure weakens the lower right corner of the horse's head, which again is typical for this variety. "

1788 Vermont Bust Right PCGS AU50 Ryder 20 (Rarity-4)
Reference #: C38 "A lovely light chocolate brown example and a great Bust Right type coin. Smooth and glossy surfaces with just a bare minimum of small striae on the obverse. Problem free. Die finishing lines are still visible at the reverse upper right. Date struck slightly low, but still mostly complete and easily readable. A variety that comes with a softly struck obverse, essentially a Ryder 20 never gets much stronger than this, and a nicer example would be extremely difficult to locate. "
